As Expo 2025 Osaka approaches its final days, one of the most memorable exhibits for many visitors has been the Jordan Pavilion, famously featured in a recent video by HIKAKIN.
This pavilion offers something truly unique — the chance to sit directly on real desert sand brought from Jordan while watching an immersive visual presentation.
■ A Pavilion Where You Can Feel the Desert

Unlike most pavilions that rely on high-tech visuals or sound, the Jordan Pavilion focuses on texture and atmosphere.
Inside the main exhibition room, the floor is covered entirely with soft, fine sand — real sand from the Jordanian desert.
Visitors are invited to sit or kneel on the sand while enjoying the presentation.
The sand feels surprisingly smooth and clean, leaving little to no dirt on your clothes.
It’s a sensory experience that allows you to connect physically with Jordan’s natural landscape — a truly rare moment in Japan.
■ Light, Silence, and Calm Beauty
Once seated, a calm visual and audio show begins.
Soft blue and gold lighting reflects off the sand, creating an atmosphere that feels both peaceful and mysterious.
Rather than a flashy spectacle, it’s a quietly emotional presentation that invites reflection on nature, culture, and connection.
■ How to Reserve – Evening Slots Are Easier to Get
The Jordan Pavilion requires a reservation via the official Expo 2025 ticket site.
I booked mine around 2:00 p.m. and managed to get a slot for 19:15–19:45 on the same day — an evening session.

🔸 Tip: Evening slots (after 7 p.m.) are usually easier to book.
They’re also less crowded and allow you to enjoy the beautiful night illumination around the pavilion area.
■ Wait Time and Queue
For the 19:15 session, the waiting time was around 20 minutes before entry.
The line moved smoothly, and once inside, the space was never too crowded.
It’s a well-managed pavilion that lets visitors experience everything comfortably at their own pace.

■ My Impressions
Sitting on real desert sand while surrounded by soft lighting was one of the most memorable moments of my Expo visit.
It felt like being transported straight into the Middle East — without leaving Osaka.
Since opportunities to visit Jordan in person are rare, this exhibit offers a once-in-a-lifetime cultural experience.
It’s also child-friendly, as you can sit down during the show and enjoy it calmly even with kids.
■ Summary
The Jordan Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka stands out for its simplicity and depth.
By allowing visitors to actually touch and sit on desert sand, it delivers a genuine connection to another land and culture.
If you’re visiting before the Expo ends, make time for this one —
especially in the evening, when the atmosphere becomes truly magical.
No wonder HIKAKIN and so many others called it one of the most peaceful spots in the entire Expo.
